Race/Class Selection

Ether Saga: Odyssey has 4 races to select from, each with 2 classes. When creating a character, your first choice will be which class you would like to play, which will determine your race.

Ren: The human race

Dragoon Defensive close range melee. Uses heavy armor. Popular nascent skills: Terra Rush - Temporarily increases Terra damage Guardian Vanguard Gains skills that increase defence and resistance More suited to PvP; gains offensive skills, AoE, and stuns

Ranger Ranged offensive class with accuracy boosting skills. Uses medium armor. Popular nascent skills: Marksman Seeker ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW

Shenzu: The celestial race

Conjurer Offensive ranged spell caster with access to light armor. Popular nascent skills: Pyromancer Tempest ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW

Mystic Defensive spell caster with healing skills Popular nascent skills: Priest Shura ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW

Yaoh: The beast race

Rogue Close ranged attacks with stealth abilities. Uses medium armor. Popular nascent skills: Ferus Rush – Temporarily increases Ferus damage Do or Die – Temporary damage spike Dominance – Resets cool down on all abilities Defiler Assassin Focus on increased damage and access to AoE attacks Stealth focused, higher difficultly. Recommend Oora boosting gear to be effective

Shaman Close ranged melee with restorative magic. Uses heavy armor Popular nascent skills: Templar Heretic ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW ADVANCED CLASS OVERVIEW

Mogui: The demon race

Hellion Close ranged fighter with offensive abilities. Uses heavy armor. Popular nascent skills: Warlord Ruiner Focuses on Pyros based attacks Focus on increasing Physical damage

Maven Ranged spell caster with utility abilities. Uses light armor Popular nascent skills: Seraph Magus Focuses on Pyros based area attacks Focuses on Flora based curses

Customization

After choosing your class you will have the options to select your gender, hair, and face. For Shenzu and Yaoh you will be able to select an ear type, and for Mogui you will be able to select a horn type.

Nascet Skill Selection

You will also have to enter a date of birth, and your Chinese Zodiac sign. The sign currently has no impact, but you will want to choose your date of birth carefully, for this will determine what your Nascent Skills are. If you are not happy with your nascent skills you may always purchase a Ginseng Fruit from the Heaven Repository.
